Drinks that may cause renal cancer
Most of us are well aware of the fact that our bodies contain more than 50% water. Staying hydrated is one way through which we can stay healthy. But we should keep in mind that water is not the only drink that is present in our diet. The beverages that we drink daily can cause serious health implications. Moreover, they increase our chances for succumbing to cancers like renal cancer.
This article mentions a list of drinks that could potentially cause renal cancer:
1. Alcohol
Research has proven that there is a consistent relationship between cancer and alcohol. The primary cause of cancer in alcoholic beverages can be pointed towards ethanol; hence, frequent consumption of alcohol is not good for your health. Alcohol can be the cause of renal cancer, and it is best to stay away from it or at least limit the amount of alcohol consumption.
2. Coffee
Coffee drinkers face a higher risk of getting renal cancer than those who don’t drink coffee. Although coffee does have some benefits as well, it is better to limit your coffee intake to stay healthy.
3. Energy drinks
According to doctors, it is not advisable to consume too much of either caffeine or sugar. The key ingredients in most of the energy drinks that are available in the market are sugar and caffeine. Although there is no scientific link between renal cancer and energy drinks, it is better to avoid such drinks due to the high content of both sugar and caffeine in them.
4. Soda
According to researchers 4-Mel has been proven to cause or elevate the risk of cancer. 4-Mel is the caramel dye in darker colored sodas. This chemical is considered to be a carcinogen and it is better to avoid it altogether.
5. Bottled water
For consumers of bottled drinks, Bisphenol-A, or BPA, has long been a source of concern. Recent studies have shown that BPA may function as a hormone disruptor, which can possibly cause several types of cancer, one of which is renal cancer.
6. Over ripened fruit drinks
Unless fruit juices are made by us, we really have no clue of knowing in what stage the fruits was when it is served as juice to us. While there has been no proven scientific report on it, juices made from overly ripened fruits are known to cause significant problems in the body.
Thus, by taking the time to examine our daily eating and drinking habits, we can prevent various types of cancer, like renal cancer, through making healthy lifestyle choices.
